Sunday, June 22 - Alpacas and other Health Issues:  (Examples:  the aging alpaca, fertility and reproduction, BVD, snots, biosecurity & other concerns etc.) 

 
Speaker: Dr. Kim Gardner-Graff, DVM. She has a full time practice in the Colorado Springs area. Her practice consists of only alpacas and llamas so she has a lot of experience.   
 
Where: Saturday, morning session at Que Sera Alpacas, 3 General Sage, Santa Fe, NM  afternoon lab will be held at Ark Vet Clinic on Rodeo Road in Santa Fe.

The quarterly meeting for the New Mexico Alpaca Breeders will immediately follow the Sunday portion of Dr. Kim's seminar.  The meeting will be shorter than normal and will focus on plans for the upcoming show in September.  The results of the Board of Directors election will be announced at this meeting as well.  Please plan to attend this very important meeting.

Off Frost Rd., 1 mile west of Mountain Valley road and 5 miles east of North 14.

Come and visit 13 unique locations in the East Mountains.  Meet our Huacaya Alpacas, Babydoll Sheep, the playful Babydoll lambs and our friendly Anatolian shepherds. Shop in our studio, Natural Fiber Creations featuring fine alpaca & wool products - Handspun yarn, raw fleece, roving, socks, hats, gloves, scarves, hand woven rugs, project kits, and much more. We will have a drawing for prizes and demonstrations of spinning, weaving & knitting.

Learn wet felting techniques to create your own original one-of-a-kind tote bag.  You’ll leave with a completed tote, pattern, instructions, and more!

Wet felting can use your coarser fibers, and creates a sturdy fiber fabric that can be used for all kinds of creative crafts.
